Ahuriri Contemporary Gallery
Ahuriri Contemporary features three exhibition spaces, located in the arts quarter of Hastings Street in the Boyd-Dunlop Arts Precinct. Our approach is project-based, prioritising innovative, collaborative and site-responsive exhibitions. Most works exhibited are also available for purchase.
The gallery hosts projects by invitation, collaboration and proposal. It also seeks to collaborate with our commercial and public galleries, artist-run spaces and organisations in the development of its exhibition programme.
The gallery comprises a main exhibition gallery featuring regular rotating exhibitions alongside the Ahuriri Contemporary Lounge galleries which showcase works from many of Aotearoa's most important artists alongside contemporary and emerging artists and extensive stockrooms.
