Boyd-Dunlop Arts Precinct first opened its doors in 2014 when artist Richard Boyd-Dunlop opened the space to exhibit his own paintings. The artist turned art dealer, partner Elisa Boyd-Dunlop and dedicated team have grown the business as a hub for contemporary art in the Hawkes Bay.
Boyd-Dunlop operates two street fronting downstairs gallery spaces as well as an extensive upstairs contemporary exhibition gallery space called Ahuriri Contemporary with an adjacent lounge gallery. One of the downstairs gallery spaces (Arcade) is a print gallery specialising in unique fine art prints, pop art and all things a little bit different.
The gallery aims to bring high quality contemporary Art from across Aotearoa and hosts regular exhibitions showcasing key local talent as well as bringing high profile artists in from other regions and overseas.
The works are rotated regularly and the gallery also has an extensive stock room of available works for private viewing. To schedule a guided viewing with gallerist Richard Boyd-Dunlop for your self, artgroup or friends please get in touch.
