Gareth Barlow

After a long, successful career in commercial art, graphic design and art directing, Gareth now works full time on his art practice, expressing his deep love of a culture that makes New Zealand as unique as it is beautiful.

Gareth’s work can be found in private collections in Europe, North America, New Zealand and Australia.

He is also an established carver with his work being on public display at various museums in New Zealand, including Te Papa, Auckland and Rotorua Museums. Today most of my carvings are commissioned privately as family taonga, which are traditional treasures representing past ancestors that are passed down from generation to generation.
