This work acknowledges the power and beauty that our atua Parawhenuamea holds. She personifies the cleansing power of water and despite her potential destructive force we are reminded to forever be in a flow and not stay stagnant. She reminds me as well that yes I am a river too ‘ko au te awa ko te awa ko au’
