Here, the 400 BC ruins of Delos Island in Greece are juxtaposed by the vapour trails of jets presumably traveling to and from Athens Airport, thus the anthropological confluence is also reflected in the compositional one. I have avoided architecture in my work because the buildings in our Pacific homes are so new. In Europe, however, the age of man's constructs has almost reverted some buildings into the natural landscape making them a hybrid, semi-organic element—neither purely landscape nor purely architecture. This is a fascinating new element for me to potentially use in future ponderings on humanity.
