George ‘SEN-1’ Morillo
Peace Wanted, 2025
oil paint, spray paint, and ink on canvas
760 x 760 mm
Peace Wanted incorporates the original wanted poster released for the artist in 1982 for vandalizing his local neighbourhood. This poster was later used for anti-graffiti campaigns throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s. However, in this piece it represents a call for something not easy to obtain but sought after in modern day society, peace. This contemporary piece features layers of authentic and original style graffiti amongst historic and personal references.

George 'SEN-1' Bio
Born in 1968, George Morillo was raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. Since early childhood, the exposure to works of talented artists such as his older brother, Ricky “SIA” Mujica, an original member of the 1970’s legendary “ZOO YORK”/“SOUL ARTISTS”, nurtured his artistic curiosity. The early 1980’s and golden era of Hip Hop culture had a crucial impact on his style and later works having learned different designs, styles, and letter techniques from street artists.
He has taught graffiti art classes where participants learn the history of the artform, practice different techniques, and methods of graffiti writing. Currently, SEN-1 creates a wide variety of artworks for galleries and private collectors. His work is proudly represented by Galerie d’Orsay in Boston, Massachusetts. A driving force of his art is a blend of diversity and freedom, allowing it to resonate with a wide audience of enthusiasts and collectors alike.
