In these works, Kate explores the world up close. She is
fascinated by the vibrant colours and playful imagery that
emerge when very small, ordinary things are presented on a
large scale. This flips the usual photographic perspective,
where images are often much smaller than their real-life
subjects (such as landscapes or portraits). Kate’s works
feature familiar objects like toys, hundreds and thousands,
dishwashing liquid, cooking oil, water, paper, and flowers —
transformed into something unexpected. All images are created
without AI.
