The black holds what cannot be seen.
The mirror holds what is still here.
Ake Ake Ake speaks to continuation, spirit and the things that outlive us.
The words repeat like a karakia, a calling forward through time.
When you stand before the work, your reflection becomes part of that continuation.
Past, present and what comes next.
Still here.
