This series The Vistors invites us to pause and observe what often goes unnoticed—the everyday, the fleeting, what settles for a moment… and then flies away.

Birds are symbols of memory, absence, and self-discovery. Each bird is a living metaphor, a memory, an emotion, a moment of beauty that touches us—and then departs.

My work does not seek to represent reality, but to reconfigure it as a collage of dreams, memories, and inner landscapes. A cartography of the intimate, the natural, and the invisible that dwells within us.

My paintings are an invitation to look inward, and to listen to nature as one listens to a personal story.

Néctor Mejia Bio

Néctor Mejía is a Colombian visual artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, and sculpture. He holds academic degrees in visual arts and art education, and has participated in numerous exhibitions and international art fairs across Latin America, Europe, Asia, and North America.

Autobiography lies at the heart of his work, emerging from a process of introspective research rooted in everyday experience. His pieces invite reflection on the ordinary and the ephemeral, transforming personal memory into poetic visual language.

Recurring themes in Mejía’s work include memory, absence, and self-awareness. His paintings, drawings, and objects form a collage of dreams, recollections, and inner landscapes. Rather than representing reality, his compositions reconfigure it—blending surrealist and metaphysical aesthetics to evoke spaces that are metaphorical, ambiguous, and emotionally resonant.

Mejía’s art is a cartography of the intimate and the invisible. Each piece is an invitation to look inward and to listen to nature as one listens to a personal story.
