Bang! shows the tension of a vulnerable subject in danger of being destroyed in the act of pantomime. Though gun-like in a playful way, "Bang!" is how the banana would go under further duress rather than causing harm to anything else if it were indeed a weapon. The image plays with absurdity and violence. It also suggests how something past its prime still possesses a quiet resistance - the banana, despite its colour and age, holds its shape and dignity, even as it is crushed. Bang! is about pressure, play, misdirected force, and eventual breaking point.
